Einstein Charter Schools Celebrates Largest K–8 LEAP Gain in New Orleans

Einstein Charter School at Village de l’Est Posts #1 Overall Growth Among NOLA Public Schools with the Largest K–8 LEAP Gains in New Orleans; Unified Sherwood Forest Campus Opens This Fall with Focus on STEAM, AI and Innovation

NEW ORLEANS — July 7, 2026 —  Einstein Charter Schools is celebrating historic academic gains after Einstein Charter School at Village De l’Est achieved the largest PK–8 LEAP growth in New Orleans, including double-digit gains on the 2026 Louisiana Educational Assessment Program (LEAP). Across Einstein campuses, students demonstrated strong academic growth,  improving in both the percentage of students scoring Mastery or Above and the percentage scoring Basic or Above — a network-wide result that reflects the dedication of students, educators, families and school leaders. The results come as Einstein unifies its PK–8 community at Einstein Charter School at Sherwood this fall.

Leading that growth, Einstein Charter School at Village de l’Est achieved the largest K–8 LEAP growth in English Language Arts and Mathematics in New Orleans and recorded the #1 overall growth of any school across NOLA Public Schools. The campus increased the percentage of students scoring Mastery or Above by 17 points — from 13% in 2025 to 30% in 2026 — and increased the percentage of students scoring Basic or Above by 17 points, from 35% to 52%. Gains were strong across every subject tested: ELA grew 15.0 points, Mathematics 14.7 points, Science 14.5 points, and Social Studies 12.6 points.
